Easy-to-Use

When it comes to seafood prep, this knife does it all. First, insert the tip of the knife into the oyster’s hinge. Then, run the blade along the inside of the top shell and pry the oyster open. Finally, use the knife’s tip to spoon out the oyster.

High Carbon Steel Blade

Made of high carbon steel, the 2.75-inch blade offers exceptional wear resistance. It maintains its sharp edges for longer, so you can spend more time shucking and less time sharpening. Plus, you don’t need much force to insert the hard blade between the shells at the hinge.

Smooth Handle

Comfortably grip the knife thanks to its smooth rounded wooden handle. A round hand guard on the handle helps to keep fingers safe during operation too.

It's a good knife for most oysters, but it's not the best fit for mussels. I do understand it's an oyster knife, not a mussel knife, but still - one hopes to get more versatility from a kitchen utensil. After all, if we buy separate utensils for every separate task, we will never have enough space in our kitchens.

Winco has the best knives I've ever used, and these guys have the lowest prices on Winco products. So, when I found this oyster knife, I just had to buy it - for less than two bucks, it's a real steal. The knife is sharp, easy to use and clean - just as I knew it would.
